Two Way Audio, Phase I
exacqVision 5.8 introduces Phase I of two-way audio. Phase I includes the ability to send audio from a microphone connected to an exacqVision client machine to an external speaker connected to an exacqVision hybrid or IP camera server via the server’s motherboard speaker output. Audio input to the server is supplied via an IP camera with supported audio (all exacqVision servers) or an external microphone connected to the audio I/O panel (hybrid servers only). This feature is available with all exacqVision servers except Edge and Virtual.
The new exacqVision 5.8 client includes a microphone icon. Click this icon to show the configured speaker list. Press and hold the Talk button on the selected audio output, and using a microphone on the client PC, send audio out to the speaker selected. (Note: requires exacqVision Professional or Enterprise)
Two-Way Audio is also searchable using the exacqVision 5.8 search interface.
Two-Way audio is enabled through the System Audio configuration screen.
New Network Storage Features
Extended Storage – In addition to archiving, exacqVision 5.8 now supports extended storage. Extended storage is networked storage that acts like a local hard drive. The new exacqVision S-Series is an out-of-the-box solution that allows you to extend the storage of your exacqVision Professional or Enterprise system.
S-Series Administration – Now you can conveniently configure the S-Series storage server via the exacqVision client for extended storage and archiving.
Enterprise Storage Configuration – A unified or single screen storage administration page of S-Series and exacqVision Enterprise video servers for extended storage and archiving.
Centralized Server List
The new centralized server list feature of exacqVision 5.8 makes it easy to add new servers in a multi-client installation. The feature stores a list of servers that the client software then uses when logging in to the network. New servers only need to be added to this list to update many client workstations. Login credentials are maintained on the client.
Email Notification Enhancement
The exacqVision 5.8 email notification option now includes information such as serial number, server name, and MAC address.
New IP Camera Support
We’ve added support for nearly 130 new IP cameras in the exacqVision 5.8 release bringing the total number of IP cameras supported over 1500.
American Dynamics Analytics Support
exacqVision 5.8 supports face, audio and blur detection on American Dynamics 210, 600 and 610 models.
